WEEKLY UPDATE - 22nd February 2015 GONG XI FA CAI   THIS WEEK Monday  Fitness 8-9pm Evans Road Meet at the grandstand at 7.50  Tuesdays 8-10 pm Delta  Mens 1s and ALL Ladies  Wednesdays 8-10 pm Delta  Mens2s, 3s and 4s      THIS WEEKEND  The fabulous SCC 6's Tournament - Saturday 28th / Sunday 1st March  Our ladies and men's first team have been invited to enter this prestigious tournament and will be entertaining us on the Padang.  Matches will be happening throughout the weekend, entry is free and it is a really good event with teams from all over Asia competing, so come along when you can and support.    Everyone is also welcome to attend the fancy dress Dinner & Dance in the evening of Saturday 28th February 2015: Extra tickets for supporters can be purchased at SGD 30 on Saturday afternoon.   Fancy dress theme Red,White,Goal! WEEKLY UPDATE - 15th February 2015 The first matches of 2015 have been played with 3 mens teams playing this weekend resukts were :-  Tornados 1s vs  Scc 1s  lost 1:3 Tornado 4's vs Hockey Masters lost 0:2 Tornado 3's vs Balestier Lions Drew 2:2  Check out face book for some beautiful pictures of our men and thanks to Jen for sorting out kit for the new guys   THIS WEEK No Fixtures this week as it is Chinese New Year   TRAINING Tuesday 8-10 pm Delta: Training is only on on Tuesday this week due to CNY, training will be for all mens and womens players  From next week W.C 23rd Feb Training will be as follows until further notice  Tuesdays 8-10 pm Delta  Mens 1s Ladies 1s and ladies 2s Wednesdays 8-10 pm Delta  Mens2s, 3s and 4s    Monday Night Fitness: 8-9pm Evans road : meet at the grandstand at 7.50 Membership fees: They are now overdue. Hi Tornados  Unfortunately  Kristiina Baker is stepping down from her position as Marketing Director due to work committments. Consequently we are looking for somone to fill the position The key responsibilities of this role are to :   1) Manage the sponsor relationships and look for new sources of revenue  2) Market  the club externally for recruitment and sponsorship purposes 3) Manage the internal marketing and communication of all events   The website development and other social media are pretty much crucial to the achievement of 2 and 3 You do not need to be a marketing specialist to do this role but someone who is able to communicate, has good ideas about how we can market the club (internally and externally) and is able to carry out these ideas is essential  If you are interested in this role or want to know more about it  call me or any of the committee  or speak to us tonight at THIRSTY THURSDAY Boomarang Boat Quay    See you  later  Jacque

THC - 2015 Membership Fee Payment

THC - Social Dates for the Diary

Happy Friday Tornados! 2015 is going to be a great year for Tornados!! To kick start the social calendar I wanted to provide you with a couple of upcoming dates to put in the diary: Thirsty Thursday at Boomerang (Boat Quay) - Thursday 12th February, 6.30pm onwards Casual after work drinks at Boomers.  This is a good chance for new and existing club members to mingle at our sponsor pub Boomerang. Boomerang kindly provides us with a food and drinks tab and depending on numbers depends on the size of the tab so come along and enjoy the perks of having them as our sponsors! Suz will be performing comedy at the Prince of Wales in Little India from 8:30pm for those wanting to go! Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) 6's Tournament- Saturday 28th / Sunday 29th February Come and help support your fellow Tornados compete in the SCC 6's which will be held at The Singapore Cricket Club. All Tornados are welcome to come and cheer on our elite men's and women's teams as well as watch hockey played by teams all over the world! Matches will be on Saturday and Sunday. Extra tickets for supporters for the Tournament Dinner & Dance on Saturday 28th February 2015 can be purchased at SGD 30 on Saturday afternoon. This is always a great evening especially knowing the Tornados love of fancy dress, this years these is "Singapore's 50th Birthday"!  SCC have asked us to provide them with an approximate number of attendees for the evening so please can you reply to me directly if you will be purchasing a ticket for the evening bash - lucysamanthapenney@gmail.com deadline is Friday 20th February.
