LONG WEEKENDS ARE SIMPLY THE BEST!
Hopefully you got away, enjoyed your extended weekend or simply took note that you were not sweating it out on the hockey pitch on a Saturday or Sunday.. but with the season quickly passing us by and the Mens 3/4 leagues getting closer to commencing, its time to focus on fitness and training!
As I'm sure you are all aware, the Delta pitch is still out of action with rumours still swirling that it will be back next year (we won't hold our breath), but with that the case we are trying hard to ensure we have pitch time for trainings! However, as we all know sometimes Singapore just doesn't make it easy...
Please be patient as we do our very best to secure training slots and apologies that sometimes its not always consistent. With that in mind, check your teamsnap regularly and take note of the below times. We will do our best to keep you updated.
Earlier this week you hopefully recieved an email regarding Masters interest. Please fill out the survey so that we can ensure that everyone is offered the options of tournaments when they are in town.

The Mens hockey this weekend was like Australia in the Eurovision last night.. Looking good, till the last few minutes.. but second is good right?!! The women were more like Ukraine.. making astonishing comebacks.
The weekend was full of exciting high adrenaline hockey right across the board! The Mens Liga had some great battles with the fours losing out 3-4 and the threes having a double header weekend but unfortunately defeated in both.
Mens first League started exceptionally, keeping the scores level at 1-1 for the majority of the game, until a few 'tiring' errors saw SCC shoot ahead to win 5-1. The Mens second League began well, until the weather came through and spoiled yet another game for the unlucky lads.
The ladies fared better over the weekend with both 1 & 2 League ladies showing that Tornados never give up, both coming from behind to draw with their competiters.
This week ahead: PLEASE NB the change of location for Fitness and come along!! I hear from a very eager Jenny that the session gives you "Monday SMILES" and who doesn't want those! :)
While some of you will be hearing wedding bells, others will be hearing the chant of many monks chanting the sutras. You will not however be hearing the cheers on the hockey pitch... NO GAMES this weekend due to Vesak day!

SO MUCH HOCKEY!!!!!
The weekend was full of mixed results! The Men 1s won, the ladies 1s drew and the Men's 2s suffered a loss in the National league competition. The Liga league saw a draw for the 4s and a late night loss for the 3s on the Saturday.
Onto this coming week... we have another packed weekend before we all get another break for Vesak day. Good luck and play well Tornados!!

Running late, running late, for a very important date...
What a fantastic turn out we had for the family BBQ day @ Labrador park. Good to see so many little ones and big ones gathered for a rain free day with heaps of food and a few beverages. Thanks to everyone that attended, it made for a very fun day!
Looking forward to hockey this weekend with plenty of games at SengKang and Evans this weekend. Goodluck to all teams.
