Opening weekend for the 2014 season saw all teams in action across the weekend. Especially exciting was the debut of Tornados Hockey Club first EVER womens 3rd team.
Saturday 8th March saw the men in action with the As taking on a tough SRC team and walking away with a disappointing draw, while the Bs continued the pace from the last season but unfortunately walked away with a 1 - 5 loss.
The womens As kicked off the action on Sunday 9th March at 3pm in a scorching 36 degrees. The opposition consisted of a large number of national squad players so the ladies did well to walk away with a 2 - 3 score.
Tough start for both the womens Bs and Cs as they faced each other. Played in the usual Tornados spirit, both teams encouraged each other throughout, with a final score of 10 - 0 to the Bs. Outstanding performance by the Cs stand in keeper, Juliet.
