Finally all teams were back in action again this weekend, unfortunately all plans were foiled by the weather and SCC.
First up on Saturday were the men and women A teams. The men were disappointed when SCC failed to show; on the plus side this means a 3-0 walkover. The women were up next against Crescent. It was a tough fought match with a last minute penalty equaliser that unfortunately got stopped by the keeper, meaning a final score of 0 - 1. The ladies are struggling to score this season so far but hopefully a chocolate filled Easter will see them right.
Sunday saw an epic victory by the men Bs, winning 3-2 against SCC with only 10 men available and Paddy, the keeper, out with injury. Ladies Cs were playing top of the league Jansenites. This was always going to be a tough match, Jansenites providing tough opposition throughout the divisions, and with the game game called off due to lightning with 15 minutes left to play and the scoreline reading 0 - 7, the team decided to not postpone the last few minutes of play. The lightning continued and the ladies Bs match was postponed,
The liga was in full force over at Delta in the meantime. Liga C took on St Andrews and brought home a crushing 18-0 victory. (We won't mention that the opposition were about 12 years old... you big bullies). Liga D had a tougher match against Totally Minds, playing their guts out but unfortunately ending up on the wrong side of the 2-1 scoreline.
No training or fixtures this week due to the Easter break.
