Hello Tornados! We're about one week out so I'm sure you are all getting very excited for our first Boon Lay event of the year. For those that are still slightly confused what the day is all about, it's basically a fun mixed social 6-a-side intra-club tournament. There are some details to be aware of, below. The rules, timetable and teams are currently being finalized and the captains of each team will get in touch shortly with more specifics. Is there a theme? Yes! Rubik's Cube. Each team will come dressed head to toe in one colour and after each game swap one player with the opposite team to ensure you have a Rubik's Cube coloured team by the end of the day. Your captain's will fill you in on more specifics on the day. Is there a charge? Yes, please bring $20 and hand it to your captain. What time are things happening? Get there by 10.30am as we need to start at 11am sharp and the last game will end at 4pm. Will there be food? Yes! Lunch will be served and is included in the $20 already. We'll be a having a BBQ pitch side as well as some salads to feast on. Can I buy drinks? Beer (not Pure Blonde!) and Ciders will be available from the eski's at $4 per drink. Where is it? Hockey Village, 83 Boon Lay Place Is there anywhere to go after? ABSOLUTELY!! We've arranged a 50 seater bus to take everyone to Bungy Bar at 5pm which we have hired out for the evening. We also have drink specials arranged so make sure you don't miss out! Enjoy the long weekend! Cheers

THC - VIETNAM TOUR 2015 7th/ 8th November- TOUR ORGANISERS WANTED

Dear Tornados  The tour to Vietnam is part of Tornados tradition. The Vietnam club is our sister club, set up by a Tornados founding member -James Chew and so we have very special connection with this event.    We are looking for volunteers to organise the tour this year. Hills and Milly did a great job last year and are willing to help the new organisers so you dont have to feel overwhelmed at the prospect. If you are interested  in organising the tour drop me a line NO experience necessary but it helps if you are a party animal, persistent and incredibly patient ! cheers Jacque

Hi Tornados,   Shhhhhhhh… three of our Tornados are leaving us, so it's time for a SURPRISE party!   We are hoping you will all be able to join us for a final goodbye.   WHEN - Thursday May 28th TIME – 7.30pm, please please please make sure to get here before this time as we want to SURPRISE them! WHERE – Bungee Bar Clarke Quay, 3E River Valley Road, Singapore 179024   Where are they off to?   Suzanne Lea Shepherd – the social coordinator extraordinaire is heading to the big apple to try a completely different career path Dominique De Beijer – the Dutch we stole is heading back to the motherland to a new exciting role with Unilever Sophie Ackland – one of the nicest Tornados you could ever meet is off to run the HR show at Dyson in Hong Kong   We really hope as many of you can make it, they didn't want a party but we thought these three lovely Tornados needed a send-off!   Lucy, Milly and Megs xx Any problems on the day please contact one of us or alternatively Jacque and Jen McGavin will be there a bit earlier so you can reach out to them, please dont post anything on facebook!

Hi Tornados This is a friendly reminder now that we about a month out from our first Boon Lay Day of the year (for those still wondering this is not replacing Agro Cup) If you're in town on the 6th June make sure you switch your status to going on the Facebook event so we can start preparing the teams (if you're new and haven't received the event invitation let me know and we'll get you added). Also if you've said you're coming on the group but now can't make it please update your status so we can be sure about the final numbers. For those that have recently joined the club just ask any Tornado about how much fun these days can be, so be sure not to miss out!! We'll be sending out some more details over the next week once we have a better understanding of final numbers. Cheers

The nightly 14 hours course will take place over the first week of June and over 2 of the 28th SEA Games Hockey matches (2-3/06 and 6-7/06). Lucy fundraised a total of $4698.91 and completed the marathon in 5 hours 12 mins! Congrats Lucy for this superbe effort!! - Big THANK YOUs to everyone who donated in last week's relief fundraiser for local Singaporean NGO billion Bricks to send 100 tents to Nepal, affected by the recent earthquake.  We collected over SGD$19,000 in 72 hours, which is way over what we expected. Furthermore, the great people of Decathlon have generously given us great discounts and we are now working to send a total of 150 tents to be distributed by Habitat for Humanity. ## SHAPE UP!
