LEAGUE BEGINS THIS WEEK!
SCC SIXERS debrief....
Everyone survived... Two Tornados teams entered the competition, a mens side somewhat dysfucntionally put together by the self professed 'worst manager' Headly and a womens teams with the polar opposite manager Pip! Many thanks to Pip for her patience and organisation of some rather hopeless ladies.
The first day was a mix of wins and losses with the mens team securing a place in the prestigous hockey "cup" finals for the Sunday. The Ladies didn't fare quite as well going into the mix for the "plate" finals. After a lovely Red carpet event on the saturday night the Tornados (mostly) reconvened on the Sunday sporting many many sore heads, some fresh bruises and some aching muscles.
Unfortunately for the men they lucked out in a close first game and went home to nurse thier Sunday blues. More unfortunately the ladies went throughout the day winning every game up until the final where a young peppy Jansenites pipped them at the post. The ladies came back from a 2-0 scoreline to be level 2 all before a last minute goal from the Jansenites sealed thier fate.
Thanks to the fantastic supporters who braved a wet and temperamental weekend to join the tornado teams for a beer or three!!

RESULTS
The third men's team were the only team to play over the weekend as the mens 4s took a walkover against the Police. They represented Tornados well with a close win over the Eagles.
The Friendly's during the week saw a great start to a fresh ladies 2's team, with many returning Tornados joining the ranks coupled with some greatly improved new hockey players. Looking forward to a great season from the ladies. The club hosted some friendly games for the British Army in thier week in Singapore and in both mens and ladies walked away with comprehensible wins.
